Our Lovell Camps Mountain Lodge is located in the alpine town of Schönried, just 3km from Gstaad and a few minutes’ drive from the Schönried train station and ski lifts. With beautiful views, hikes, ski slopes and activities, the Saanenland is the perfect place for a summer or winter getaway. Here at Lovell Camps, we offer both a winter and summer camp for children between the ages of 5 and 16 years.
During the winter months of December to March, the ski season is in full swing here in the Saanenland. The famous Gstaad Ski Resort boasts 58 lifts, accessing 250km of slopes, a number of sled runs and winter hiking trails. The area also provides our winter camp with swimming in the Gstaad pool, ice-skating, wall climbing, two snow parks, trips to the cinema and bowling alley and special events held in the Gstaad region. The wintertime here in Gstaad is truly a magical winter wonderland. Everywhere you look is a perfect picturesque scene whether it be up in the mountains while skiing, hiking the surrounding hills or whilst visiting the towns – everywhere you go the views are perfect.
In the summer months of July and August we hold our summer camp during the school holiday weeks. The summer in the Saanenland is the perfect place for long hikes, sightseeing and spending time in the great outdoors. For our summer camp the Saanenland provides us with scenic and breath-taking hikes across the region. The river that runs through Gstaad provides a beautiful scenic walk with many areas that allows for cookouts. The two lakes near the area, Lauenensee and Arnensee, provide us with perfect cookout spots for lunches as well as hikes and walking trails. There are many activities on offer in the towns of Saanen and Gstaad that we take full advantage of. We take our campers for swimming lessons in the Gstaad pool as well as fun free swim days in the outdoors pools. Horse riding, golf lessons, tennis lessons, high ropes and wall climbing are also the activities that the Saanenland has to offer. The summer months are also a busy time for events within the region, such as the Volleyball Tournament, the Gstaad Tennis Open, The Tour De France and much more.
