At Lovell Camps we offer many activities and programs both in winter and summer along with fun and exciting excursions.

Due to the sunny and warm weather we get here in the summer, and of course lack of snow, we can facilitate many outdoor activities for our campers. These activities include:

  • Horse-riding
  • Gymnastics
  • Football
  • Basketball
  • Sports and Games
  • Photography
  • Archery
  • Mountain Bike Riding
  • Tennis
  • Golf
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Swim Lessons
  • Language Lessons
  • Cooking and Baking
  • Climbing
  • Dance Class

In winter our activities are also mainly outdoors and these include:

  • Sledding
  • Snowman Building
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Cooking and Baking
  • Dance Class
  • Fire Building
  • Survival Skills
  • Swimming
  • Language Lessons
  • Indoor Climbing
  • Ice skating

Having so many activities on offer allows your children to experience and try new things that perhaps they’d never get the opportunity to do. Although friendly competitions can be added to each program, we don’t press on ability levels of these activities but encourage learning, improvements and enjoyment in each. The activities we offer are decided by each child. This allows for age groups to mingle and because of this it allows the campers to get to know one another and create friendships that are of different ages.

Some activities can be quite challenging and difficult, and we encourage and support each camper through the program. For example, climbing can be quite nerve wracking for a child on their first time as it deals with heights, body strength and courage, therefore it is a great opportunity for children to be courageous and to improve on things such as strength and facing fear.

What we as counsellors love and often see is campers encouraging and congratulating other campers throughout the activities. This type of support is what we believe camp is all about and it makes each camper feel more comfortable and included.

Overall, our aim is to make the activities fun, exciting and rewarding for our campers, giving them new opportunities and experiences.
