Special activity weekend allows campers to indulge in some of the best of what the Gstaad region has to offer. After a fun Friday evening which brought both Saanen and Schönried camps together for some games and activities, including a great football match, campers headed home for a movie night and to get some much needed sleep.
Bright and early Saturday morning campers were off! Split into two groups, one headed up the cable car to the top of the Rellerli and the other down to Gstaad. Up the mountain campers got to enjoy the gorgeous weather while zipping down the mountain roller coaster, testing their skills on the climbing wall and hanging out with friends enjoying the breathtaking views. The Gstaad group got to take in a fun round of golf (well actually mini golf) before they headed into town for some serious shopping (we would never dream of missing out on shopping!). All campers then returned to the lodge for lunch and the groups switched up so that no one missed out on anything. You may think that Saturday activities stopped there, but oh no, bowling was next. After dinner, we boarded the busses and headed to the bowling alley for a fun night of laughter, competition and friendship.
After such an eventful Saturday, we let the kids sleep in a bit, until 08.30, had a great breakfast and made our sandwiches for our picnic lunch. Next, we had a short walk down to the train station and boarded the famous Classic MOB train (1st class of course) and headed to Zweisimmen. From the Zweisimmen train station we walked to our main activity, High Ropes. Campers had a blast challenging themselves to a number of different routes with varying degrees of difficulty, high up in the trees with zip lines and obstacles galore. Once all campers had done all they could do we headed next door to the outdoor pool for some much needed play, rest and relaxation.
Well that concludes another great weekend at Lovell Camps.
