Swatch Beach Volleyball Major Series – July 5 – 10, 2016
The best beach volleyball teams of the world are playing again on the Center Court of Gstaad! Enjoy the unique beach ambiance in the Swiss Alps with exciting matches and hot rhythms.
Ladies Championships Gstaad – July 9 -17, 2016
For more than 100 years, Gstaad welcomes one of the biggest sporting events of Switzerland, the J. Safra Sarasin Swiss Open Gstaad. Grand Chelem Event, the current organizer of the ATP-Event returns women’s tennis to Sannenland and thus brings back to life a long tradition of the Gstaad tournament. From 1917 to 1983 famous names of the women’s tennis world played in Gstaad like Margaret Smith Court, who holds the record of Grand Slam titles. The new clay-court tournament will take place one week before the J. Safra Sarasin Swiss Open Gstaad. During these two weeks, Gstaad will become the Swiss capital of tennis. The matches will be played in the same stadium.

The 103rd edition of the most famous cycling race in the world will pass directly through Schönried on route from Bern to the stage 17 finish line at the Emosson Dam.

The J. Safra Sarasin Swiss Open Gstaad is not only the only ATP tournament on clay played in Switzerland, but it is also unique in the world for its environment. Since more than 100 years, the elite of tennis fights for victory in the middle of this charming mountain village, surrounded by cottages and fields. Stefan Edberg, llie Nastase and Roger Federer have already engraved their names among the winners of the tournament.
